Evidence note: built from Replika’s official help pages, policies and announcements, checked 31 October 2026. We have not reproduced these problems on a live account. Pages marked “couldn’t check” blocked automated access; open them yourself.

1. Is it Replika or your connection?

We could not find an official Replika status page. Try the steps in our general troubleshooting guide first: switch networks, update the app and try the website at my.replika.com. Replika links to official Discord, Reddit, X and Facebook accounts from its homepage, which may be the quickest place to spot a wider problem.

2. Replies, calls or images suddenly stop

Replika’s terms say plans may cap chat replies per day, call minutes per day and images per week, and that free-tier limits can change at any time. Paid allowances will not be reduced during a paid term. If features stop at the same point each day, you have probably hit a limit rather than a bug.

3. Older messages or photos are gone

This may be policy, not a fault. Replika’s privacy policy says that while your account is open it keeps text chat history for 24 months, and photos, videos and voice messages for 12 months. Media saved to memories, the diary or your profile is kept for as long as the account exists.

4. Replika’s personality or memory changed

Replika’s help centre has an article on resetting your Replika (couldn’t check). Read it carefully before resetting anything, because a reset may not be reversible.

5. Billing, cancelling and refunds

  • Subscriptions renew automatically.
  • Bought through Apple or Google: those stores handle billing, renewals and refunds, so cancel and request refunds there.
  • Bought on the website: cancel on your account’s subscription page; you don’t need to contact support.
  • Payments are generally non-refundable, and virtual currency purchases are final, except where local law gives you a right to withdraw (for example in the EU, UK and Brazil).

Source: Replika terms of service. Replika’s help centre also has articles on cancelling and being billed after deleting an account (couldn’t check). Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an app-store subscription.

6. Age checks

Replika is for adults: 18 or the age of majority where you live, if higher. It may ask for a selfie or ID check, and accounts found to belong to under-18s are blocked and deleted (privacy policy).

7. Deleting your account

On mobile: gear icon, Account Settings, Delete Replika, choose a reason, enter your password and confirm. On the web: log in at my.replika.com, open the gear icon, Account Settings, then “Delete my Account”. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, chat history and photos (official steps).

8. Contact support

Use the contact link in Replika’s help centre (couldn’t check), or email my@replika.com for privacy requests, as listed in the privacy policy.

Before you reset, reinstall or delete anything

  • Export your data first if the app offers it.
  • Deleting an account is permanent on every app covered here. It is never a troubleshooting step.
  • Never send your password or a login code to anyone, including people offering “fixes” on social media.
