Evidence note: built from Kindroid’s official help pages, policies and announcements, checked 31 October 2026. We have not reproduced these problems on a live account. Pages marked “couldn’t check” blocked automated access; open them yourself.
Free accounts changed on 1 October 2026. Kindroid retired unlimited free messaging. New free accounts get a one-time preview of its premium model, and when the preview, a trial or a subscription ends, the account becomes read-only. Kindroid says nothing is deleted, and you can still export your data (Kindroid FAQs). If you suddenly can’t send messages on a free account, this is the likely reason.

1. Check whether Kindroid is down

Kindroid’s docs point to its status page. Its official Discord and subreddit are linked from the homepage.

2. Login problems

From Kindroid’s common issues page:

  • Login codes are 8 digits and expire after 15 minutes. Resending is rate-limited, and after 5 wrong attempts you need to wait about 15 minutes.
  • If Google or Apple sign-in fails inside another app’s built-in browser, use the “Copy sign-in link” option and open it in your normal browser.
  • For a blank screen, try another network, a private window or turning off browser extensions.

3. Errors and stuck replies

  • “Server melted” and “overloaded” messages come from Kindroid’s side. Wait a little, then regenerate.
  • If a reply is stuck for more than 2 minutes, tap “Stop generating”.
  • Selfies stuck for more than 5 hours can be deleted, which refunds eligible credits.

4. Memory and personality

From Kindroid’s memory docs:

  • Check that the memory formation and memory recall switches are on.
  • Tap a message and choose “Long term memory” to see what was recalled.
  • Journal entries are triggered by keyphrases that must match your own words exactly.
  • If your Kin ignores its backstory, try lowering the dynamism setting.

5. Billing and cancelling

  • Web: Profile, Billing, then Manage.
  • iPhone: your App Store subscription settings.
  • Android: Google Play, where you can’t change plans directly.
  • A subscription can’t move to another platform until the current one ends.
  • Kindroid treats sales as final in general and handles refunds case by case.

6. Export your data

Go to Profile, Preferences, then Export data. You can export once every 30 days, and Kindroid emails you a download link (FAQs).

7. Age verification

Kindroid is for adults 18 and over. Some free users are asked to verify their age with a selfie estimate or ID check run by Yoti; Kindroid says it keeps only the pass or fail result (age verification docs).

8. Contact support

Email hello@kindroid.ai or use Contact support at the bottom of Profile, Help. Include your User ID, shown at the bottom of the Profile menu.

Before you reset, reinstall or delete anything

  • Export your data first if the app offers it.
  • Deleting an account is permanent on every app covered here. It is never a troubleshooting step.
  • Never send your password or a login code to anyone, including people offering “fixes” on social media.
